Tourism
Tourism is one of the most important industries for the Lunenburg Queens region. There are well over 200 related business establishments in the two county areas including nearly 40 bed and breakfasts or housekeeping cottages and cabin facilities in addition to the nearly 20 hotels and motels. The region boasts eight marinas, seven golf courses and six RV parks along with many other museums, theatres and eco-tourism opportunities.
It is clear from the stakeholders, that the tourism industry in Lunenburg Queens needs a unifying strategic plan. There are many factors and a lack of common vision for the region and this important sector. The LQRDA can plan an important role bringing the stakeholders together and building this common vision and strategic direction.
