Renewable Energy and Green Technologies

The provincial government has made this sector a main priority both to aid in greening its electricity production and as a primary economic development engine.  There are a number of manufacturing firms in the province expanding into wind turbines and components, tidal energy systems and other related supply chain activities. 

With the current base of manufacturing capacity in Lunenburg Queens, there should be opportunity to develop this industry in the region and possibly participate in community feed-in tariff (COMFIT) project(s).
