Creative Economy
Another important sector highlighted in the Province of Nova Scotia’s jobsHere plan is the creative economy. This plan is further described in “The LQRDA repositioning plan” section of this report. While there is no formal agreement on the activities that are included in the creative economy, The table below shows related activity in the Lunenburg Queens region.
There is a significant motion picture and video and related businesses sector, nearly two dozen computer systems design and related firms and several software publishers. There are a variety of artistic and creative organizations in the region as well. Given the obvious alignment with the beauty of the region and the proximity to Halifax, this industry should hold considerable potential in Lunenburg Queens.
