A Networked Economic Development Model

Business Growth takes many forms -- small, medium and large enterprises; service and manufacturing; research and innovation. As the drivers of economies emerge and evolve, the Lunenburg Queens RDA is your first point of contact for new ideas, expansion of an existing business or re-location to our region.

The rolodex of the LQRDA stakeholders in Business Growth includes:

  • Key industry stakeholders - associations, Chambers of Commerce, anchor companies, etc.
  • Economic development-related infrastructure stakeholders - industrial parks, airport, research organizations, etc.
  • Workforce development stakeholders - training providers, associations, etc.
  • Government partners - government service providers, municipal / provincial / federal economic development organizations, etc.
  • Community development stakeholders - volunteer groups, community associations, etc.

Successful regional economic development is based on the ability to effectively leverage these resources in the Lunenburg Queens region.  As the LQRDA does not have the internal resources to take on all important development issues directly, it must bring in the right stakeholders to address specific challenges or opportunities.
