The International Careers Fair is a perfect opportunity for businesses in Lunenburg Queens to connect with over 350 skilled international workers, students and graduates as well as temporary foreign workers. Grow your market by tapping into a resource of educated individuals with highly-specialized abilities and language skills that bring fresh perspectives on work processes and support organizations to compete on national and international levels.

The LQRDA will be exhibiting at the International Careers Fair in Halifax on March 6th.  We will be promoting the Lunenburg Queens region, but we will also be highlighting specific employment opportunities available in our area. Local businesses are encouraged to provide us with general company information for potential employees and / or job descriptions for specific opportunities. We will distribute your materials from our booth. Please share this information through your various profesional and sector networks.

Welcome to the Lunenburg Queens Regional Development Agency

The LQRDA is at an exciting turning point in its development, having recently undertaken a repositioning exercise aimed at establishing a clear and renewed focus. The message that we received from all our stakeholders is clear: “Do fewer things better” and those fewer things must be initiatives that will truly increase economic prosperity and the tax base. Given this, the forward-focus is primarily that of business development and strategic sector development.

This has resulted in an enhanced mandate for the organization:

On behalf of its municipal, provincial and federal stakeholders, the LQRDA fosters business development by focusing our efforts on workforce initiatives and immigration, strategic business retention and expansion activities, supporting foreign and domestic inward investment attraction and supporting community based economic development initiatives of regional significance.
